Love this place! We ordered pad thai, green curry, and basil fried rice. Every food were fantastic. I will come and visit again!

Eh. That pretty much sums up my experience at Oishi. I was really hoping to have a wonderful experience here, as it is within walking distance from my house. We sat at a Hibachi grill for dinner and a show. It was ok. The food was ok. I had the hibachi filet. It was a little over cooked. I did like that they have onion clear soup (which I strongly prefer to miso soup). The service was adequate. The prices were actually pretty good for hibachi. The wine list was a disappointment. The entire experience just felt pretty blasé. There was seemingly no passion or anything exceptional, or even great, about our meal. Maybe the Thai side is better. One really cool thing is the physical bar in the restaurant. It has a gel-like substance that moves and changes color when you touch it. It really brings out your inner 5 year old. The rest of the decor is impressive...but I initially saw those same decorations when this location originally opened as RJ Tao. Kind of loses it's magic. I probably would go back, if someone else really wanted to. But I will never suggest this place.

I can't believe I got suckered again by this joke of a restaurant. I was previously here 5 weeks ago and waited forever to be acknowledged and decided to take my wallet elsewhere after I stood there like an idiot for 8 minutes. So I'm a forgiver and wanted to try it again with the exact same effect. Except this time the bartender felt a bigger desire to text on his phone and eat his dinner while I stood there once again like a fool. Last time I walked out and decided to eat at heights taco and tamale. This time I took my money and my date to cafe prego. Oishi is doing great business for the other restaurants on kavanaugh in the heights... This is funny but seriously accurate.

The sushi and potstickers were good. The pad Thai was not so good and the papaya salad was bland. So my wife didn't eat half her pad Thai and we didn't want to take it with her because she didn't like it, and I didn't want mine either. Then we got the third degree from someone who worked there about why we didn't like it and she didn't like to waste it....awkward.

Food was delicious! Service was always greeted with a smile! Prices were decent. Portion wise, I think they could do better. We tried their duck and it was amazing because it was boneless! Lol I would definitely come back here and recommend to friends.

Love the interior and I have yet to order something I don't like!!! The pad Thai is sooo good. I've also tried the green curry and sesame beef. Both were fantastic. The staff is very friendly. I have yet to try the hibachi table but it looks like a lot of fun. My only critique is that they do not list prices on their drink menu which is suspicious and keeps me from ordering. Other than that, this is one of my new favorite places to go in this area.

Worst dining experience EVER. My sister, niece and I went to Oishi for lunch July 2nd. We should have known something was wrong when there was only one table occupied in the whole place. We sat on the patio and waited, and waited, and waited for service. Finally a waiter came and took our drink orders. I ordered hot sake. After another long wait, the waiter brought me a beer. How he confused sake with beer I'll never know. I ordered Tom Kha soup for my entree. Later, the waiter brings out the soup for all of us as an appetizer. Whatever, we just wanted to eat at this point. I took one spoonful and spit it out. It was horrendous. I summoned our clueless waiter and told him it was not fit for human consumption, then he took my bowl and started eating it! We were astonished and appalled. He finally took it away, then came back and asked me if I wanted him to take it off my bill. DUH!!! We never saw hide nor hair of a manager the whole time. My niece and sister had sushi and pad thai which were mediocre at best, but at least those dishes were edible. We couldn't pay the bill and get out of there fast enough. Please do not waste your time and money at this hell on earth.

Great food, wonderful service, what else can one ask for? The panang curry has the right amount of spice and flavor and the ginger salad is simply delightful. The server was extremely friendly and attentive and the service is quick.I even took the leftovers to go .Can't wait to go back!

I was very excited about coming to this restaurant because I had been looking forward to Little Rock's first Thai food place. However, the name is a misnomer regarding the Thai and fusion aspect of it. The Thai food is not authentic. Despite their "clarification" that is "sophisticated" Thai cuisine, there is nothing sophisticated about it. It is an extremely bland and "sanitized" version of Thai. So much so that it makes P.F. Chang seem authentic! The cocktails are boring and their description on the menu is very inaccurate. Most of them are described as being made with natural fruit juices as the main mixer, but my party of three concurred that all three cocktails we had were mainly artificial mixers with little alcohol in it. I think the only true about its name is "Hibachi." Indeed, it is mainly what we call in the US a Hibachi grill. This is what it should be called and advertised. If a Hibachi grill experience is what you want without having to drive to the suburbs, then this is the place. Otherwise, skip it. There are better options in the neighborhood.

I had lunch at Oishi with a group from work and we all thought it was fantastic! I got the New York Strip Hibachi for $9.50. It came with house ginger salad, mixed vegetables & hibachi fried rice. I had a piece of sushi, too, and it was really good. I highly recommend this place for lunch!

I really wanted to love this place because I've been waiting for an authentic Thai restaurant in Little Rock for many years, but I don't. The restaurant is very modern and beautiful. The atmosphere is fun but for an elegant restaurants, there are TVs everywhere. It's not a sports bar so what happened to nice dining just with friends without sports??? Food is not authentic. I grew up in CA and lived in Asia and traveled everywhere. The Thai food here is tasty but just not quite authentic. Tom Ga Gai soup had WAY too much coconut milk in it. Pad Thai tasted too Chinese. The curry was too sweet and again, too much coconut milk. Then you end up smelling like the hibachi grill when you leave. I'd go again but it's not my top pick.

I had the best sushi roll of my life at this place (I believe it was the Crazy Crunchy Roll). The chef's sauce over the top was sweet and savory, and the tempura shrimp inside was perfectly cooked. The portion size of the hibachi entrees was generous, and my filet was cooked perfectly. The seasoning on the fried rice, noodles, beef, and veggies was right on point without being too spicy. The salads weren't even over-dressed with the ginger dressing. Unfortunately, the pork dumplings were a little less than desirable, and the sauce was not the most pleasant, so I don't recommend them. If the service had been better, this review would have been 5 stars, regardless of the dumplings. Our server wasn't rude, but seemed distant and confused. This is a great, modern asian restaurant, and the decor made it feel well worth the money. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Wasn't really expecting much, but they killed it. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. I had pineapple chicken fried rice as my entree and so did my wife. It was absolutely amazing and the way it's presented looks like a million bucks. We had the macaroni appetizer and it was great two. Two meals and a appetizer for 30 bucks. Not bad at all, we will def be back.

We have only been to Oishi twice now, but this is the first time I had the sushi here. Long story short, I am impressed. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We like how they designed the booths to create a cozy space that gives you a little separation from the rest of the restaurant. Service is friendly and courteous. Don't be afraid to ask the staff for recommendations; you may just have to because so much on the menu looks appetizing. We will definitely come back in the future and I'll be ordering more "golden ladies".

The best drunken noodles I've ever had, hands down. And I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants threw out the country. The Panang Curry was wonderful too. I really think this is a good restaurant and I hope it sticks around for a long, long time.

Bout to gain some weight up in here! Delicious. Get the Tom Kha and share it with a friend. Or don't and take half of it to your home for later. Penang at a level 2 is REAL good with white rice, or fried if you're prepping for hibernation like me.

I have been searching all over little rock for a Thai place to replace my favorite, Lemongrass. I had very high hopes for oishi, especially when I saw the Panang curry on the menu! We had the chicken satay as an appetizer, and it was great--nice, light peanut sauce. We also had one of the soups, and it was delicious as well. When my curry came, I was so excited--my only complaint was that it was too sweet. It tasted more like a dessert than the better curries I've had across the U.S. The hibachi meals are good here and so are the noodles. But sadly, the curry didn't replace my long lost Lemongrass.

I had high hopes (born out of desperation for good thai food) for Oishi Hibachi, even after I saw the Mama Chi's Spinach on the menu that revealed them to be part of the Chi's chain of mediocre pan-Asian restaurants. These hopes did not pan out (see what I did there???). We started with Tom Yum soup, which is one of my favorite soups in the world. It's not a complicated soup and I - without exaggeration - have never encountered a Tom Yum soup I didn't like. Until I ate it at Oishi Hibachi. The biggest issue is that it was *filled* with canned pineapple. Pineapple is not traditional in Tom Yum soup and while I'm not necessarily a stickler for authenticity (especially at pan-Asian fusion restaurants), it was gross. Fresh pineapple would have been better, but still not good. Even without the pineapple, the soup was much less flavorful than it should be and the flavor was just not great. We decided to go in two different directions with our main course and ordered one Americanized dish (because when in Rome...) and one more traditional dish. For Americanized, we ordered the Crispy Pan Fried Noodles. My dining partner is a lover of (good) Americanized Asian food and has had this dish many times. It was terrible and we could barely eat it. The sauce was sickly sweet and one-dimensional and the noodles were cheap and dehydrated. And I'm speaking as someone who happily eats grocery-store ramen! By far the high point of our meal was the Sichuan Crispy Duck. The duck itself was wonderful - moist and delightfully smoky with a light, crispy coating. Sichuan Crispy Duck is usually not breaded before being fried, but as long as food is well-prepared and tasty, I won't complain! The sauce that came with it (thankfully on the side) was mediocre: overly sweet but at least edible. There is a moderate chance I will come back and try a few other dishes to see if I can find just one other thing to go with this duck. Other positives include the service, which was friendly and competent, especially for a busy Valentine's Saturday night. Our waiter, Mike, was charming. I also enjoyed the décor/ambiance. It makes a nice date restaurant, particularly if you are seated in one of the semi-private booths that are ¾ enclosed. All said, I think there are plenty of people who would be fine with the food here. Other than Mr. Chen's and Mike's, every Asian restaurant I have tried in LR has not been to my liking. Presumably this is largely due to demographics and local history, but perhaps there are also localized differences in palate and preferences when it comes to 'ethnic' cuisines. So, if you're generally happy with most of the Asian restaurants you have eaten at in Little Rock, definitely give Oishi Hibachi a chance. Just don't order the Crispy Pan Fried Noodles.

My fiancé and I were in town visiting a friend and we stopped by here for a late lunch/breakfast. The atmosphere was pleasant with a cozy and welcoming ambiance from the moment we walked in. It wasn't busy at the time and so we were served quickly (thanks again for the first-class service Christina!). The menu selections were a good variation and offered enough options without consuming so much time trying decide what to try. We were offered a sushi sampler when we were seated and it was excellent. The sushi rolls are big and very delicious. I tried one of the curries and it was very good, creamy, made with the right amount of spiciness ordered. I know I'd eat here again and would like to try another few menu items in the future.
